Day at the Beach

Yesterday Win spent the afternoon at Tunnel Park. We had a party for our expecting friends, Michael and Karen Morrish. Win was in a very good mood all afternoon. He loves to be outside and he loves people. He would go to a party at the park any day of the week. Here is is being held by our friend Peggy Fennema.

Something is blooming in Holland

The tulips are beautiful this year. Win loves to go outside, especially for walks. He usually sleeps in his stroller but sometimes he just sits contently and watches the world.

Watch out Ralph Macchio

Infant Torture

Win went to the doctor for his two month check-up today. The doctor had instructed us to give him baby Tylenol before the appointment. Jared put the drops in his mouth and he got a very confused look on his face. As soon as the sweet syrup hit his tongue his face lit up with a big smile. It was pretty cute. The doctor said that everything is perfect. He officially weighs 13 pounds 7 ounces which puts him in the 95th percentile. Way to go Win! Notice the two Band-Aids on his legs. Two very mean nurses poked him with needles. Jared and I had never seen him cry as hard as he did after that.

Grandpa Dean

Win and Grandpa enjoyed some time on the porch together before the shower. We had a great trip that started out a bit rough. We had the car all packed and ready to go. When we tried to leave it would not start. All three of us piled into our truck for the trip to Fort Wayne. If you have ever seen our truck you know what a feat that was. It is an ‘86 Mazda pickup. It does have 3 seat belts but to say that it has 3 seats is a stretch. We made it there and back with no more trouble than some stiffness from the tight squeeze. The shower was wonderful. The weather was perfect. Win was happy. The house looked beautiful. The food was abundant and delicious. Grandma did a great job throwing a fun shower. Thank you!

Road Trip

Win’s bags are packed and he is ready to go. Today he takes his first big road trip. We are going to Fort Wayne for an open house receiving shower at Grandpa and Grandma Dean’s house. Let’s see how this works!?
