About a week ago Win discovered the benefits of mobility. He has two main moves that propel him around the room. He either pushes up on his hands and feet, like a push-up, and scooches backwards or he rotates around and pivots on his belly. Given 20 minutes he can really get around a room. In the above photo there is an inch or more between his belly and the floor.
Sorry for the long drought of posts. I’ve been away in Indonesia, and we sent in our nice camera to be fixed. We resolve to post more often! Today Rachel and I took the little chomp to our church picnic. He had a great time. He helped me grill 400 burgers, then we went swimming in a pool. After dinner Win went skinny-dipping in Lake Michigan (apparently he thought it was a nude beach) while we did baptisms. It was a long, sunny afternoon, and when we put him in the car to go home, he immediately pulled his hat over his eyes and fell asleep (see last picture).
Win loves to be on his stomach. He pushes up and looks around the room. If we lay him on his back he usually rolls over right away, especially when I am trying to put a diaper on him.
Jan (Grandma Henderson) made a three layer meringue fruit delicious thing for me for my birthday. Win wanted a bite. We let him suck on a lime instead.
Win and Grandpa Goose had a great time roughhousing. Here is a shot of one of their playtimes. Win loves to fly like superman.
Today Win and I attended the wedding of our friends Nim and Natasha. I was the photographer for the wedding so Win got passed around quite a bit.
