Biker Babe

Yesterday Jared and his friend Josh rode their mopeds out to the county fairgrounds for the annual Blessing of the Bikes. Every year several local churches join and host a service for all of the bikers in town. When I say bikers, I mean bikers. We are talking lots of black leather and feather earrings, huge motorcycles with American Indian scenes airbrushed all over them-not 1979 mopeds. Jared and Josh’s mopeds were the only that we saw among the 2000+ bikes that had gathered.

This is only a little section of the bikes that were there.
Josh and his girlfriend Sarah with Josh’s 1979 Puch. Sarah, Win and I followed the guys out to the fairgrounds to join them in the fun.

Win is trying the moped on for size. He needs a couple more years yet.

Some people take their kids to the zoo or park. I guess we figured that The Blessing of the Bikes was the perfect place for a baby.

Annie and Jeremy’s Engagement Photos

Last Saturday I met with Annie and Jeremy to take their engagement photographs. I am photographing their wedding this August. After some rather unexpected weather in the weeks prior we ended up scoring a great day for their engagement photos, as you can see. Annie and Jeremy were fabulous they really knew how to be natural and comfortable in from of the camera. Annie’s smile is really fun to photograph. Here is a little sample of some of my favorites. It was very difficult to chose, there were so many great images. Check out the rest of their engagement photographs at Pictage.Link here to see more of Rachel Henderson Photography.

Devilish Smile

About a month ago Win developed this smile. He hands it out with great generosity to everyone that he meets. It is usually accompanied by an, “Eeeeee.” It is such a cute devilish smile that it usually gets a chuckle from its recipient.

He’s a SHE!

Here she is, our new little girl. We had our ultrasound today and found out that we are most likely (90% according to the technician) having a baby girl. Being used to talking about Win we’d been referring to her as he. Now we know better. We are very excited to put little dresses on a cute baby little baby girl. The ultrasound went well and everything appears healthy and good. I’ve noticed that she is a very wiggly little baby, always kicking and flipping. She was up to her normal tricks for the show today, so much so that the technician was having a difficult time getting proper pictures of all of her organs and parts. We are most likely going to have another one scheduled in a couple of weeks to get a better look.

No No

Win’s not allowed to touch the dishwasher, open or closed. He is usually pretty good at avoiding it , but sometimes curiosity overcomes good decisions. In some of those times I can’t help but to get my camera.

Why we love Holland

Our family has been enjoying several beautiful days lately. It has been a change since last week. It snowed for us even while we were at The Cabin.
