Magic Moment

We had a great time this weekend in Detroit with Jared’s family.

Here’s Win checking his blind spot before changing lanes.

This is Eden, the second oldest of the 11 grandkids.

We told Win to go give Eden a kiss.  I love how he took a second to gently brush away her hair.

This one has a move-like pre-kiss quality to it.    Oh no!  Am I turning into Angela from The Office?  Am I starting to like kids posed in adult scenes?  Win really likes giving kisses.  They are usually pretty cold and wet.

Eden is such a beauty!

Jan made a delicious!!! dinner that we all enjoyed on the porch.  Ahhh, I really like the spring.

Jared’s Grandma  stopped by for about an hour.  We gathered a couple of great-grandkids around her for a photo op’.  They were all pretty wiggly.

I found a baby squirrel and couldn’t help taking a picture of it.  He was really little and very slow, which is probably why I was able to photograph him.

Fun at the Hendersons

We are hanging out in Detroit with family.  Win and Harriet been having a blast playing with their cousins.  We’ve been having a difficult time getting Win to bed.  He simple doesn’t want the fun to stop.  Here are a couple of pictures of Harriet from Aunt Sarah.

From Big-Hattie to Little-Hattie

On Sunday we spent time hanging out with some friends of ours. Their second daughter is Hattie. When we are at their house she is “Big-Hattie” and Harriet is “Little-Hattie.” Big-Hattie gave Little-Hattie a cute heart box with her name on it.

Rea Mad!

This is the face the Harriet makes when she gets “rea mad” (that’s the superlative of mad).  She sticks out her tongue and starts blowing mad raspberries.

Win gets a little worried when she does it.

New Neighbors

We have new neighbors.  I think that their decorating style could be categorized as colorful.  It’s not a style that I exactly “get” but I like the boldness.

Never underestimate the power of the sun

We spent Sunday afternoon at our friends’ house eating Chinese, playing 4-square, chatting and talking about parenting and marriage. Winfield, LOVES going to the LaCroix house! They are an amazing family with 4 fabulous kids and an amazing marriage. Josh and Sarah were there too. Win skipped his nap, kicked soccer balls, rode around in a wagon, chased a guinea pig, and wore himself out. As we were driving home several times he repeated to himself between yawns, “Are you tired? I tired.” Although I didn’t take any pictures there, here are some from this morning. Win managed to get a little pink with sun–in April!

This is a little travel alarm clock that win calls, “Win’s cell phone.” Here he is closing some sort of huge merger between his blue stuffed Zebra and the striped knit bear that he named “Bear Henderson.”
