ProPhoto - A Premium WordPress Theme for Professional Photographers

prophoto2.jpg

Since I spent a bunch of time building this WordPress Theme for Rachel’s blog, I thought I’d make it publicly available to other photographers. ProPhoto Wordpress Theme can now be purchased here. I posted about this in a photographers forum yesterday, and have already sold two copies!

I built the the website while staying up most of the night while stranded during the blizzard two nights ago. I’m pretty productive during inclement weather, I guess.

Stranded

Yesterday mid-day I went for a walk with my friend Lora. It was 48 degrees out. The snow was melting, drip, drip dripping and it smelled like spring.

Jared was at work, 5 miles away, and planning on working late because of an evening event. Then the storm hit. Whoosh! Crash! Thunder and lightning! 10 degree gusting winter winds. The storm progressed. The phone rang. It was Jared. He had tried to drive home but after going 20 yards he decided that it wasn’t worth it. He couldn’t see and everything was encased in ice. The police were telling people not to go out on the streets–at all. Jared’s not one to be slowed by a little winter driving, but this storm shut everyone down. He found a couch and slept at work–five miles away but unable to get home.

It was 48 degrees at noon and pleasant for walking. By 10:00pm it was 10 degrees and Jared was stranded in Zeeland. That’s variety!

NetRivet Web Development

Most of you probably know that I’ve been in a transition phase the last month or so. I’ve ended my time on staff at Lakeshore Vineyard, and now I’m in the process of building and running a small web development company.Well, my website, www.netrivet.com is up and running, and I thought I’d let you all know so you can browse over and take a look. Click here or on the logo image below to get there. If you or anyone you know has a need for a new or redesigned website, let me know. Also, if you have a website or blog and want to link to me, that would be super appreciated! Google will love me if a bunch of you link to me, and everyone wants to be loved by Google, don’t they?

You’re in the right place

I made a few slight changes to the blog.  All must now pay homage to my css wizardry.  Oh, and Rachel’s site has a new splash page.

Official Launch

Hey everybody, today is our official launch of the Rachel Henderson Photography website. Woo-hoo! The site has been up for a few months, but has been sort of under construction and not totally presentable. Now it’s re-skinned with Rachel’s new logo and colors, and we’re pretty pleased with how it looks. But mostly what makes it a great site is Rachel’s amazing pictures. So, anyway, we thought we’d share with yall and invite any feedback you have. Also, if any of you have blogs or websites and would like to link to Rachel’s site, we’d really appreciate it - the more links the better our Google rankings!A special thanks to Bruce and Jan for the camera that got Rachel started, and Winfield our beloved little monster for giving Rachel a cute subject to practice on for over a year.
