So when it’s 80 degrees in April, we strip the kids down and try to get as much as we can from the April sun. The kids were a tad chilly so I allowed them hats, but we were trying to maximize skin exposure.
This spring we put in some raised beds where my vegetable garden had been. They are really pretty. I’m super excited to get gardening in them. The kids and I already planted peas and shallot sets. We need to wait a couple more weeks to plant carrots, beets :-) and kale. Then tomatoes, squash, eggplant and morning glories just after Mother’s day! Too bad they don’t produce yummy garden veggies right away. I’m so impatient when it comes to delicious food.
