hot and hazy, perfect beach weather
July 19, 2011 | by Rachel
The kids and I spent the morning sitting in the warm sun and swimming in the cool surf. Ohmygosh! it was fun. We had a blast. The kids played, swam, dug, buried and generally caked themselves with sand. Dale really liked playing in the sand and splashing in the waves. After a while she got tired and fell asleep in my arms while I sat right in the edge of the water. Occasionally a big wave would come up and get her a bit wet too. But who'd fall back asleep. It was nice. After she woke up we tried to have lunch but kept getting bitten by attack flies. So we brought our lunches to Ozh, our van, dropped off our beach gear and went for a quick barefoot hike in the trail at Tunnel Park. We like hiking and any chance we can get, even if it's short, we take. We go the beach a lot. But this time I remembered to bring my point and shoot camera. Here are some snaps from Tunnel Park.

Looks like fun! One of these days, Ory & I will get to join you!
Perfect summer!
What kind of point and shoot do you use?
Aren't Michigan summers the best?!! Next year I hope we can take similar pictures in front of our own Lake Michigan beach house. GG
